A  paradigm shift is underway

We are living through one of the most profound turning points in human history.

The old system—what Bill Sharpe’s Three Horizons model calls Horizon 1—built on separation, domination, and endless extraction, is now breaking down. We can feel it. Deep down, many of us sense that the world we inherited is collapsing.

Yet within this collapse lies the seed of something new—something that breaks with the logic of the current system: a world rooted in interconnectedness and unity. This is what Sharpe refers to as Horizon 3.

This is not the first time humanity has faced a shift of this magnitude. Just as we once transitioned from the dominance of religion to the Age of Enlightenment, we now stand at the threshold of a new evolutionary leap: the birth of a regenerative civilization.

Our mission is to accelerate the emergence of Horizon 3 by shedding light on its building blocks and cultivating a culture of courageous challenge of the status-quo, foresight, imagination, and experimentation—unlocking regenerative innovation in service of the health of the whole system.

Horizon 3—a regenerative paradigm for civilization—is still in its early stages. It is in the R&D phase, where the elements of a new world are being imagined, prototyped, and tested: from inner development to regenerative finance, accounting, economics, organizational design, and bioregional systems—touching every inner and outer dimension of our reality.

The objective of the Horizon3-Lab E-Learning Platform is to accelerate the emergence of Horizon 3. We curate learning experiences in the form of masterclasses—each 8 to 10 hours long—led by global pioneers. Our theory of change for navigating the transition from Horizon 1 to Horizon 3 is inspired by theories such as Donella Meadows’ Thinking in Systems, Clare Graves’ Spiral Dynamics, and others. To translate this strategy of change into action, we have designed a holistic learning journey that integrates both the inner and outer dimensions of change and is organized around four key phases:

  1. Systemic Change Literacy - Seeing the Bigger Picture

  2. The Case for Change – Why the Old System Is No Longer Viable

  3. Inner Development

  4. Outer Transformation
